State Issues and Legislation

The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE) recognizes that state energy and environmental legislation plays a large role in determining energy policy.

ACCCE supports state legislation that ensures consumers continue to have access to affordable, reliable coal-generated electricity. One way to achieve that and help our environment is to site and build new power plants that will help meet our growing energy demand.

In regards to climate policy, ACCCE believes that sensible federal legislation that accomplishes the goals described above is preferable to a patchwork of different state mandates to regulate utility CO2.
